Movie Casting..Again!

Hi all..
I'm a newbie here (actually, I posted once before long ago but then forgot my password so had to re-register), and I hate to reawaken this subject again, BUT...
With all the hoopla about the Bridget Jones' Diary movie, I was looking around the web for info on Renee Zellweger, and I got to thinking: she might very well make a good Katchoo. It's her mouth. She's got Katchoo's mouth!

Yeah, I've heard the Mira Sorvino talk, but I just don't see it. She just looks like a ditz to me. And I saw the Replacement Killers, and I thought she looked like a ditz with a gun.
I think Renee Z has a bit more of that hard edge to her facial features that Katchoo requires. But, to each his own.

Not bad......
However, I'll stick with Terry's first choice-Mira Sorvino.
At first I thought 'No way could she handle Katchoo'(I mean, you saw Romi and Michelle's High School Reunion, right?)
Then I saw the Replacement Killers, and she knocked my sox off. She could play Katchoo.
When she pulled the gun on the gangbanger(his own gun, mind you), I was like 'Oh, yes, she IS Katchoo.....'

Don't understand the connection between Francine and Jennifer Connely tho'..but maybe I'm thinking of the wrong actress...

Danieal Dae Kim, who was Lt. Matherson on Crusade, would be great as David-he's 100% Asian, but I think it wuld be better to have an Asian play a half asian character than a white dude. Plus he can act!
Come to think of it, here's an off the wall casting of Darcy-Mira Furlan, also from B5. She's has a very elegant beauty and is able to inject a real passion into her work, so I think she could do Darcy's mood swings well.

I dunno,Renee Zellweger just doesn't say "Katchoo" to me. She just doesn't have that edge. They have to find an actress with the sweetness of sugar, the robust beutey of a dandylion, and an edge like a razor. I dunno where they could find someone like that, but hey it would be cool if they could.

reading lil mel's description made me immediately think of chloe sevigny as katchoo. the nose is a little off, but that whole sugary robust dandylion razor thing she can definatly do and has in the past. plus, joey lauren adams' voice is just not right to me, not scratchy enough, or something:0
